Acceptable Use Policy

What you may and may not publish on appifio.com.

Version: 2.0 Effective date: 14 August 2026 Replaces all prior versions Slug: /page/acceptable-use-policy

1. Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) is part of the Appifio Terms of Service. It covers all User Content and Your Work on Appifio - biolinks, websites, landing pages, web apps, PWAs, chatbots, links, QR codes, prompts, AI output, files, embeds, and text.

Appifio is offered in English and is available to customers in Vietnam and, where the law allows, in other countries. You must follow Vietnamese law (the Company is established in Vietnam) and the law of the place where you live or operate. If this AUP and the Terms disagree on the same content rule, the stricter rule applies.

You are responsible for everything created, uploaded, linked, stored, shared, published, or generated by AI under your account - including content End Users submit on Your Work if you do not reasonably moderate it.

2. Adult labels vs prohibited sexual content

These are not the same thing. An “adult” label only warns that content is unsuitable for children. It is not a licence for nudity or pornography.

2.1. When an adult label is required

By default, content must be appropriate for all ages, including children. If content is lawful but not suitable for children (for example adult dating, suggestive fashion that is still clothed, coarse language that does not describe sex), you must use the product’s adult label if one is available.

2.2. Nudity and pornography - fully banned

Vietnamese law prohibits distributing pornography. Nudity, pornography, and explicit sexual content may not be published on Appifio in any form - even if you add an adult label, put it behind a password, mark it “18+ only,” or live in a country where that content is legal on the open internet. This is a platform rule for every customer.

The ban includes, without limitation: photos, video, drawings, or AI images of nudity or exposed genitals or nipples (except non-sexual medical or educational context the law allows); pornography and sex films; descriptions of sexual acts; and offers of sexual services.

Child sexual abuse material is banned absolutely (Section 11).

3. Hate and discrimination

Do not publish content that incites hatred, violence, or discrimination against a person or group based on race, colour, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, veteran status, disability, or medical condition.

4. Election interference

Do not unlawfully interfere with local or national elections in any country. Do not mislead the public about how to vote or who may vote. Do not buy, sell, or broker votes.

5. Illegal goods and services

Do not use the Service to advertise or facilitate the sale of goods or services that are banned or restricted under Vietnamese law or the law that applies to you or your End Users, including without limitation:

  • Alcohol, where advertising or sale would break the rules;
  • Drugs and controlled substances;
  • Weapons and weapon-making instructions;
  • Human body parts (including bodily fluids and blood);
  • Unlawful adoption or people-moving services;
  • Counterfeit goods;
  • Embargoed goods or items covered by applicable sanctions;
  • Endangered or protected plants and animals;
  • Fireworks and explosives;
  • Hazardous materials;
  • Fake IDs or the unlawful sale of identity documents;
  • Unlawful sale of personal data or mailing lists;
  • Recalled goods and stolen property;
  • Tobacco and e-cigarettes where that would break the rules;
  • Gambling and betting - see Section 6;
  • Human trafficking or prostitution.

6. Gambling and betting

The Company is established in Vietnam, where unlicensed gambling is illegal. Appifio does not allow the Service to be used to run, broker, or advertise gambling or betting - even if that activity is legal where you live. That is a platform rule, not a country-by-country licence.

6.1. Not allowed

  • Bookmaking, taking bets, collecting money, property, or points redeemable for money as stakes;
  • Sports betting, football, racing, or e-sports with stakes; lottery-number rackets; casinos, slots, or poker for money;
  • Online gambling or betting (including bookmakers hosted abroad);
  • Ads, affiliate links, widgets, QR codes, or links to bookmakers, betting sites, or betting apps;
  • Guides on opening bookmaker accounts, depositing, withdrawing, evading the law, or using a VPN to bet;
  • Using AI / Appifio Creator to build a website, biolink, app, or chatbot for any of the above.

There is no exception for “virtual sports,” “entertainment only,” or “adults only” if money, property, or redeemable points are still staked.

6.2. Allowed

  • Games, quizzes, and spin-the-wheel features with no real-money, valuable-property, or redeemable-point stakes;
  • Sports news and statistics that do not solicit bets and do not link to bookmakers;
  • Lottery or wagering licensed by a Vietnamese state authority, and only within that licence - you must show the licence if we ask.

A Section 6 breach can mean takedown, a lock on Your Work or account, no refund, and a report to the authorities.

7. Spam and scams

Do not use the Service to send spam, defraud visitors, phish, or link to pages that collect personal data under false pretences. Do not generate fake traffic, click fraud, or spam-link chains. Fake login pages and malware: see Section 15.

8. Harassment

Do not use the Service to threaten, harass, bully, or attack another person’s dignity or reputation.

9. Extremism

Do not advertise, promote, praise, or fundraise for extremist groups or their activity. Do not publish terrorist, separatist, or unlawful violent content.

10. Graphic violence

Do not post content intended to shock - gore, mutilation, or graphic physical violence meant to disturb viewers - unless the law allows it in a genuine news context and you add an appropriate warning.

11. Child safety

Content that harms or promotes harm to children is banned absolutely, including child sexual abuse material, child grooming, and images of children in inappropriate contexts. We will take it down immediately and may report it to authorities in Vietnam and anywhere else that is relevant.

12. Self-harm

Do not publish content that advertises or encourages suicide, self-injury, eating disorders, or dangerous treatments that break the rules.

13. Copyright, trademarks, and other IP

Do not post, copy, embed, sell, or use AI to create content that infringes someone else’s intellectual property under Vietnam’s Intellectual Property Law (and treaties Vietnam has joined). You must also respect IP law that applies to you or your End Users if it is stricter.

13.1. Copyright

Do not use someone else’s work without permission - text, photos, video, music, fonts, UI kits, source code, or designs. Copyright arises when a work is created and expressed; registration is not required. You need a licence, a contract, or another lawful basis before you use it.

13.2. Trademarks

Do not use a name, logo, slogan, packaging, or domain that would confuse people with someone else’s mark - especially a registered or well-known mark - to pass off fakes or to look like the brand’s official site.

You may (if it is not confusing as an official page) put social or brand icons on your own biolink or website to link to your real account on that platform. Do not clone their full identity, login form, or interface.

13.3. Other registered IP

Do not infringe patents, industrial designs, geographical indications, trade names, or trade secrets. Do not sell counterfeits of registered marks or designs.

13.4. AI output

You are responsible if a prompt or AI output copies someone else’s work or mark. Appifio does not warrant that AI output is “IP-clean.”

13.5. Complaints

Rights holders should send a takedown request to https://appifio.com/contact?subject=legal as described in Terms Section 12: identity, proof of rights, the URL or content, and a statement that the information is true. Procedure follows Vietnamese law, not the US DMCA (the form may still be labelled “legal / DMCA” for routing only).

14. Data and privacy

Do not publish someone else’s personal data without a lawful basis. Do not collect identifying information unlawfully. If Your Work targets people in the EEA, the UK, or a similar GDPR regime, you must have your own lawful basis and privacy notice for those End Users. See the Privacy Policy.

15. Impersonation, fraud, phishing, and malware

Do not use Appifio (Creator, biolinks, websites, web apps, forms, chatbots) to defraud, impersonate, or spread malware.

15.1. Fake pages and apps

Do not copy another organisation’s look, name, logo, URL, or login form to trick people. That includes fake social, bank, wallet, or government logins; cloned shops and payment gates; OTP-harvest pages; impersonation; and deepfakes used to scam.

The page does not have to be a perfect clone. A small “demo / test / not official” disclaimer does not help if the form still collects passwords, OTPs, cards, or session cookies.

15.2. Fraud

No phishing; no unlawful collection of passwords, OTPs, cookies, card data, or wallet keys; no lying to get people to send money; no pyramid schemes or fake investments.

15.3. Malware (even on a page that does not fake a brand)

Do not embed or distribute malware, ransomware, keyloggers, form/session/clipboard stealers, redirects to hostile sites, or browser exploits.

15.4. AI

Do not use Creator or other AI to generate fake pages, phishing forms, malware, or scam playbooks. Review output before you publish.

A Section 15 breach: immediate takedown, account lock, no refund; we may report it to the authorities.

16. Prompts, AI output, and apps

Do not use Appifio Creator, chatbots, or other AI to create content that breaks the rules above; to train a competing model on Platform data; or to put the Service into the high-risk settings described in the Terms (life-critical medical, aviation, and similar).

AI content must meet this AUP the same way hand-written content does.

17. Competitor and blocked links

Appifio may refuse links to competing services and their communities.

Links to resources blocked by Meta (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp) are not allowed if they disrupt the Service or break a third-party platform’s terms.

18. Enforcement

If content, in our reasonable judgment, breaks this AUP or the law, we may take it down, block Your Work, or suspend the account without prior notice when we need to stop harm. There is no refund for an AUP breach. Serious or repeat breaches may be referred to the authorities.
